By creating a base/core theme with lots of configurable elements like layout, colors, fonts, menus, blocks, width, height, etc., it will be easier to create other themes. As a result design process is faster and easier.

Knowing the conceptual process of base/core theme, you can minimize codes in subtheming, like css, php, javascript and developing 1 core theme that is adaptable to any kind of design is main goal of this session.
